Makes available commercial and independent surveys to the academic, research and journalistic communities. Founded in 1992, CORA contains hundreds of surveys including thousands of discrete items collected by major commercial Canadian firms dating back to the 1970s.

The Joint Canada/United States Survey of Health (JCUSH) was a research study conducted jointly by the National Center for Health Statistics and Statistics Canada. Data collection began in November 2002 and ended in March 2003. The JCUSH was a one-time, random telephone survey in both countries. Approximately 3,500 Canadian and 5,200 U.S. residents participated in the study. The survey used the same questionnaire and methodology in both countries. The survey obtained information about such topics as health status, health care utilization, insurance, patient satisfaction, and more.

Long-term, large-scale, and multi-faceted longitudinal investigation of human aging. Evaluates and tracks actual cognitive, brain, and health trajectories leading to outcomes that can be classified as normal, resilient, exceptional, impaired, or dementia.

This data collection contains seven files of Canadian census and election data, each corresponding to a particular electoral period when the number of constituencies was fixed.

The Canadian National Elections Study (CNES) Series is a collection of national surveys produced in part by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC), the Canada Council, National Science Foundation, the Progressive Conservative Party of Canada, and Canadian Facts. Initiated in 1965, the CNES has continued through every election since.

The Public Use Sample is a representative sample of individual records from the 1971 Census of Canada Master File. The primary sample size is one-in-one-hundred and the sample is self-weighting. Data from the long-form questionnaire, or one-third sample, were used to create these microdata files. To preserve confidentiality, respondents were selected from nine provinces and two Census Metropolitan Areas (CMA) with populations of 250,000 or more. The provinces are Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Quebec, Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, and British Columbia. The CMAs are Montreal and Toronto.

This data collection is comprised of a one-in-one-hundred sample of persons who completed the long-form census questionnaire (the one-third sample) for the 1976 Census of Canada. To preserve confidentiality, records for this study were selected from geographic areas with populations of 250,000 or more, including Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, the Montreal census enumeration area, Quebec, the Toronto census enumeration area, Ontario (excluding Toronto), Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, the Vancouver census enumeration area, and British Columbia (excluding Vancouver). The data have been organized into three separate files by record type: Household, Family, and Individual.

The Quality of Life Project was a five-year research program that began in 1976 and was officially titled "Social Change in Canada: Trends in Attitudes, Values, and Perceptions." The survey data for the project were collected through the Survey Research Centre at the Institute for Behavioural Research, York University, Ontario. The project's overall purpose was to develop time series measures of the perceived quality of life and of other subjective social indicators for Canada and its major regions.

This study, which was part of the "Can Mature Democracies Fail?" project, looked at public opinion regarding issues related to the Quebec Sovereignty Referendum held October 30, 1995.
