Printing & Technology at Waidner-Spahr Library: Printing with a Wireless Laptop

This guide provides basic instructions on how to use technology available in Waidner Spahr Library, including Toshiba services (printing, scanning, copying), and media:scape tables.

Printing with a Wireless Laptop through PaperCut

PaperCut is the web-based program used to print wirelessly.
The following file types can be uploaded and printed via PaperCut:
Microsoft Excel xlam, xls, xlsb, xlsm, xlsx, xltm, xltx
Microsoft PowerPoint pot, potm, potx, ppam, pps, ppsm, ppsx, ppt, pptm, pptx
Microsoft Word doc, docm, docx, dot, dotm, dotx, rtf, txt
PDF pdf
Picture Files bmp, dib, gif, jfif, jif, jpe, jpeg, jpg, png, tif, tiff XPS xps  
For picture files you can save as a bmp, dib, gif, jfif, jif, jpe, jpeg, jpg, png, tif, tiff.

Wireless color printing and single-sided printing are not available.

A. Go to dickinson.edu/print and use your Gateway username and password to login.

B. Once you have logged in, select Web Print from the left side menu and click on Submit a Job.
A list of printers will display. Select:
dknprint\Find_Me_Toshiba (virtual) for double-sided printing.
dknprint\Find_Me_Toshiba_Single_Sided (virtual) for single-sided printing.

C. Then click on "2. Print Options and Account Selection".

D. Click on Upload Document and select the file to be uploaded from the computer.

E. Then click on Upload & Complete.

The Web Print menu will load and display the file when it is ready to be released at a Find_Me_Toshiba printer.
All library multi-function printers can be used and they are located at:
The Circulation Desk (Main Level of the Library);
Reference Commons area (Main Level of the Library);
and the Information Commons area (Lower Level of the Library).

Printing jobs are held in the queue for 24 hours, if not released, jobs are automatically canceled.
For troubleshooting issues, please speak to a library staff member at a service desk.
