The timeline below gives a general outline of the timing of information creation following an event. When evaluating a source, consideration of the timing of its creation is necessary. Daily newspapers have more of a chance to verify information following an event than someone tweeting about it as it happens, but then weekly magazines are able to provide even more context and insight--and so-on, as you move down the timeline.
