The ACS citation style from the American Chemical Society is the primary citation style used in Chemistry at Dickinson.

Provides access to journals published by ACS. Coverage: Varied: 1896 to present. Full-Text.
SciFinder-n First time users
must register to search SciFinder, which is available to current Dickinson affiliates only. Contact the Chemistry Liaison Librarian
for registration information. SciFinder includes important scientific discoveries and provides organic and inorganic substance information with references from thousands of journals plus patents from more than 61 patent authorities. Allows searching on substances by chemical structures, biological sequences, substructures or reactions. Coverage: Mid-1800s to present. Citations Only. SciFinder-n is the new SciFinder interface. Scopus is a curated abstract & index database that links researchers to scholarly literature across a wide variety of disciplines. As a citation database, Scopus also provides tools for users to discover and analyze the connections between research. Researchers can find related documents by shared references, authors, and keywords; identify subject experts; track citations over time for a set of authors or documents; and assess trends in search results. Coverage: 1788-present.
Articles in the journals published by Elsevier. A collection of articles focusing on science, technology and medicine. Coverage: Varied some 1850 to present. Some Full-Text.
Applied Science & Technology Source
Provides research and development within the applied sciences and computing disciplines. Topics include engineering, acoustics, chemistry, computers, metallurgy, physics, plastics, telecommunications, transportation, and waste management. Full text for almost 1,200 journals, citations to millions of articles. Includes leading trade journals, professional and technical society journals, and conference proceedings. Coverage Range: 1913 to present; Full-Text; Jumpstart Searchable.
Contains review articles that summarize the progress in some particular area or topic. Includes coverage of the biomedical sciences, life sciences, physical sciences, public health, and social sciences. You can search across the entire database or limit your search by subject area. Coverage: 1932-Present (varies by series). Some Full-Text.
General Science EBSCO
Covers everything from supernovas to marine pollution. A good starting point for researchers seeking information on a variety of scientific topics. Coverage: 1984-present. Some Full-Text.

Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO)
SciELO provides cooperative electronic publishing of science, social sciences, and arts & humanities journals to meet the scholarly communication needs of developing countries, particularly Latin America and the Caribbean countries. It provides an efficient way to assure universal visibility and accessibility to their scholarly literature. English, Spanish, and Portuguese search interfaces are available.
