Mental Health Resources for Employees

  • Employee Assistance Program (Dickinson employee benefit)
    The Employee Assistance Program offers you and your family individual assistance to help you resolve your problems and make your life happier, more productive, and more satisfying. It is available to all full-time and part-time employees and immediate family members who are eligible for medical benefits.
     
  • Mental Health First Aid
    Mental Health First Aid is an 8-hour course that teaches you how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental illnesses and substance use disorders. The training gives you the skills you need to reach out and provide initial help and support to someone who may be developing a mental health or substance use problem or experiencing a crisis.

  • National Suicide Prevention Lifeline
    Provides free and confidential support for people in distress, prevention and crisis resources, and best practices for professionals.
     
  • Suicide Prevention Awareness Month (NAMI)
    Provides resources for those affected by suicide, raises awareness of suicide prevention, and connects individuals to treatment.
     
  • Trevor Project
    Provides crisis intervention and suicide prevention services for LGBTQ young people.
     
  • Find a Therapist
    Psychology Today's "Find a Therapist" tool allows you to search for therapists in your area. The site also allows you to look for therapists who take your insurance, specialize in specific areas, use certain types of therapy, and more, in order to help you find the best match for your needs.
