Printing & Technology at Waidner-Spahr Library: Printing from Desktop

This guide provides basic instructions on how to use technology available in Waidner Spahr Library, including Toshiba services (printing, scanning, copying), and media:scape tables.

Printing from a Library Desktop Computer

Select the Print menu, a drop down will display various printer options.
the printer selection process is crucial to ensure prompt results.
All library printers are  Find_Me_Toshiba and there are two viable printing options:

1) For double-sided printing, select Find_Me_Toshiba on DKNPRINT.

2) For single sided printing, please select Find_Me_Toshiba_Single_Sided on DKNPRINT.

Important: The default setting for printing is black and white but color printing is available.

To access available printer settings, click on Preferences or Printer Properties.

Click on the Finishing tab for other available options such as stapling and hole-punching.

Once you have determined printing settings, click OK and then Print so the document can be released in one of the library printers.

Releasing Print Jobs at a Library Printer

Choose one of our Toshiba printers. There are two located on the main level - Library Printer 006 in the Reference Commons Computer Area or Library Printer 008 by the Circulation Desk. Library Printer 002 is on the lower level by the Information Commons Service desk.

Find_Me_Toshiba Printer

At the printer, swipe your ID on the keycard or enter your Gateway username and password.

Once you have swiped in, your account will list your printing jobs.

Use the touch screen area to 'Select Jobs' and 'Print'. You will also have the option to 'Cancel' jobs you no longer need.
Please know that if the printer is idle for over 45 seconds, you will be automatically logged out.
